There are many reasons for wanting to rip a DVD: you want to transfer it from a physical storage medium to a digital storage medium; you want to protect the physical DVD from harm; you want to back up your DVD; and so on. No matter why you want to rip a DVD, the free DVDAux application is here to help you easily rip any DVD you want.

DVDAux provides support for all Windows editions from Windows XP onward. Download an installer, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and guide you through the installation process. You’ll be able to quickly and easily install DVDAux on your Windows PC. And don’t worry about the system requirements. They’re so low that your PC will surely meet them, even if it’s an older, low spec model.

DVDAux has a dark themed interface that features two tabs in the upper right hand corner: Convert To and Copy DVD. From Convert To you can rip a DVD to one of the following formats: MP4, FLV, 3GP, AVI, MPG. From Copy DVD you can copy a DVD to an ISO file, to a DVD folder, or to another DVD. Check out the Help file’s Interface section if you have any problems figuring out the interface.

Using DVD rippers is usually a very straightforward 3-step process. DVDAux doesn’t stray from this formula. To rip a DVD you must load the DVD, pick the desired output format and location, and initiate the ripping process. To copy a DVD, you must load the DVD, pick the desired output format, and initiate the copying process.

DVDAux is freeware. You can use it for free for as long as you want.

DVDAux easily performs two tasks: it rips and it copies DVDs. It is free, easy to use, and has a good looking interface.

Pros

The system requirements for running DVDAux are very low. The dark-themed interface is very easy to use. You can use DVDAux to rip/convert DVDs and to copy DVDs. DVDAux is free software.

Cons

None that I could think of.
